Sunday:
We slept in a bit, as we (the peeps on our room) decided to go to the studio in the evening after the afternoon jaunt. The afternoon jaunt consisted of going to a flea market type thing that was very interesting. It was more of a carnival with live music than a flea market, but a good cultural experience none the less. Tons of food (German carnival food), vendors, and odd things for sale. I had a bratwurst and some ice cream...mmm! The group then split up. Some went to Check Point Charlie, and other places. I went with Ken to where he had stayed (towards the outskirts of town), to visit the people he had stayed with when previously in Berlin. At first they were not home, but they were walking up shortly after we had arrived! What a co-incidence. We stayed and talked a bit, then headed back to the studio at about 730. No one was there, but a couple showed up shortly after. That was about it for the day. Going to the outskirts of town was great. Very nice countryside to see. Very nice traditional German village landscapes.
Monday:
We meet at the studio in the morning, then a couple guys and i ventured out to get tickets to RJD2 on Wednesday night. It was an adventure, but we found it just fine. We could not find any store front so we asked around and had to get the tickets from this record store across the street, which was a bomb store! Along the way back to the train station we stopped at a super sweet Indian food joint and had some mutton broccoli with garlic naan and a beer+sprite. It was the second best food yet! We then headed back to the studio by 4 to go to the Guggenheim for free Mondays! It was a great show. Very comtemp, but sweet collage work and watercolor. Interesting themes. After that a small group went back to the studio to get some supply's and then head back to the apts for a briefing. There we go, i think where up to date. Ready for a packed week, and to get busy on some work.
I'll get more pics up if not tonight, tomorrow night. It takes a while to upload here. Bye Bye!
